Machining process

Through the technological process of machining, we create the desired shape of the object that is being machined, the so-called workpiece, in a given dimension and in a given degree of accuracy by removal of material. According to the complexity and required accuracy, we produce parts on conventional machine tools, CNC milling machines and a fully robotized workplace. Seco Industries, s.r.o. specializes in machining cast iron and steel.

Machining in Seco Industries

In the new machining shop, Seco Industries, s.r.o. we focus on turning of our castings made from ductile iron EN 1563 (GJS-400-15, GJS-500-7, GJS-600-3, GJS-700-2 and their modifications) and, to a lesser extent, gray cast iron according to EN-GJL-200, GJS-250. However, we also offer turning of supplied workpieces from steel according to DIN standards 42CrMo4+QT, E335, S355, X5CrNiMo/10, 16MnCr5, 17MnCr5, C16E, C45, 70Mn4, 15NiCr13.

On the Mazak Nexus 250 turning center, we turn face surfaces, outer and inner surfaces with an accuracy of 0.008 mm. The advantage of our turning center lies in high time efficiency of the operations performed at once. In our machine portfolio you will also find CNC lathes, which we use for production operations such as face turning, outer and inner turning, longitudinal turning, turning of internal and external threads and recesses.

Investment in machining

In 2019, a significant investment project of Seco Industries, s.r.o. was the construction of a completely new machining hall with the most modern equipment and machinery. In addition to our own production of ductile and gray cast iron castings and their subsequent machining, we also specialize in machining castings supplied by other foundries. The long-term goal of Seco Industries, s.r.o. is the establishment of further cooperation with new customers in the field of machining castings. After the assessment of the order, it is possible to ensure the complete overall assembly of the final workpiece, which is then incorporated into a particular assembly, part of a mechanical unit, parts of components to the engine or drive system.

Using precision CNC milling and turning centres, state-of-the-art machining tools, 3D measuring techniques, and automatic input of measurements after measuring parts, Seco Industries, s.r.o. will meet all customer requirements for precision machining. We use CAD / CAM software to prepare programs for our precision CNC machine tools and 3D measuring machines. CNC machining is very popular in larger series production due to its technical excellence and economic benefit in the form of cost reduction.

Each machine has a maintenance plan. As quality comes first for us, we regularly perform inspections and maintenance of machines, including geometry measurements, at prescribed intervals. Seco Industries, s.r.o. offers the best on the market in the field of precision machining, by investing in new productive machines and modern production and measuring technologies.

Seco Industries, s.r.o. processes ductile iron and gray cast iron castings up to 6.0 kg. We listen to the wishes of our customers and thanks to innovations we offer them components that excel in simplicity and high utility value. We offer heat treatment and surface treatment for workpieces. By combining suitable preservation and packaging, we ensure the protection of workpieces during transport to the customer.
