In Seco Industries, s.r.o. by the end of the year 2021 we have installed a grinding machine from Reichmann & SOHN GmbH. This CNC machine with five axis and two diamond grinding discs is made for grinding of castings, after their casting and sanding. We grind parting planes and discards on the Reichmann CNC machine. Only then is the casting ready for the machining process. The automated grinding machine is flexible, it can not only adapt to different shapes, but also dimensions of discards. CNC REICHMANN RFC 500-T allows for grinding discards of greater size also due to adjusting the feed rate.
We automatically clamp the pallet with castings with the appropriate jigs. The pallet system allows clamping of up-to 6 casting parts. Their exchange is realised outside of machine time, where grinding on a second pallet happens simultaneously. The new grinding machine produces 1800 parts per shift, while the exchange of pallets only takes 5 seconds. With the help of the REICHMANN RFC 500-T machine we achieve significant time savings in comparison to classic machines, which do not have pallet feeders. By installing the grinding machine, Seco Industries, s.r.o. will also use its high versatility for other types of castings with grinding accuracy of 0,05 mm.
