in Seco Industries, s.r.o., we use special gray cast iron in the production of cylinder liners placed in internal combustion engine blocks. The advantages of this special alloy cast iron are several significant differences compared to non-alloy gray cast iron. Alloy cylinder liners differ in their structure, better mechanical properties and, above all, abrasion resistance. The technology of casting into shell linings used by us guarantees a higher resistance of the working surface of the cylinder, which is stressed by abrasion by piston rings. This makes it possible to achieve a higher proportion of evenly distributed flake graphite – distribution A according to ISO 945-1 with a minimum of undesirable rosette and interdendritic distribution (B, D, E). The minimum of these undesired distributions improves the resistance of the rollers to cavitation wear. The unique production process also ensures the exceptional stability of the achieved structures and mechanical properties of the materials. Seco Industries, s.r.o. uses these properties of alloyed gray cast iron in the production of cylinder liners to achieve high durability and reliability of internal combustion engines.
The combination of our know-how and production technology reflects the growing needs of internal combustion engine manufacturers and is an ideal proven solution for them. The cylinder liners produced by us are a unique quality of workmanship. This achieves a top structure of the material and thus their long and, above all, trouble-free service life. The quality input materials we work with are melted in low-frequency induction electric furnaces. In them, cast iron is alloyed to the required parameters according to the material sheets. Then it is cast by a casting machine into special insulating linings. The resulting material complies with the standards according to EN1561, STD 4482 (Scania).
Production of cylinder liners in Seco Industries, s.r.o.
Seco Industries, s.r.o. supplies these components worldwide. They are a part of diesel engines. You can find cylinder liners manufactured by us not only in automotive but also in agricultural technology and energy in the form of cogeneration units. Cogeneration units use heat, which is released during the production of electricity and can then be used effectively in heating. The final products are synonymous with durability and efficiency.
